Isn't he adorable? 8D He's made with plasticine; we had a life drawing class where we're moddling the human torso out of plasticine, and the model kept taking breaks. So while she did that, I worked on something more fun and cute instead. 83

I got in trouble at the end of the class for 'wasting time on strange whims', but I think it's totally worth it. He's also slightly moveable, because the plasticine is still softish (I haven't baked it or anything). He's stiffened up a bit since I made him because once you start working with the plasticine it becomes more maleable, but it's still not entire fixed. He can wave, look, sit or stand! Or hold his pickaxe! Eeeeee.


The best part is that it's good practice for the plushie I intend to make very soon. Getting an idea of the 3D shapes and stuff. Eeeeee. *flail*

omggg. So I've just spent about 3 hours trawling ebay for 'duck', 'duckie' and similar. For those who aren't aware, I'm a duckie collector! Of pretty much anything/everything/it all that is duck related. Rubber ducks, duck embellished objects, porcelain ducks, plushies, everythiiing. I have some pictures of my current collection, which Rekkar says I should call Team Teloka. 8D



Aren't they amazing? 8D A lot of them have names or silly stories or games we play with them, but that's too long and boring and complicated for right now. There's more duckie things (like Ferdinand, my rather realistic looking duck, or the duck sweater that Mum and I made out of fleece and I wear regularly!) but for now this will definately do! Look at my shower cap! 8D and that baby-bathtime thingy that I wear as a sleeveless hoodie. Aahaha, Peter Alexander at Melbourne DFO. It had something reasonably priced!

Anyway! I wanted to post up some of the amazing things I found on ebay as well! One day I want to have an entire room (and possibly a bathroom) dedicated to my duckie collection and generally duckie-ing-up of the room. And I'd also like to have a more ducked-up wardrobe ;D With necklaces and earrings and the like. I have a sterling silver necklace from my mother, but I also really like kitchy things.

Out of curiosity (and desperation) I'm wondering if anyone would actually want to do a kind of... item for art trade? ie. Buying one of the duckie items shipped to my address, and recieving a similarly priced piece of art or something? Or... icons, or graphics, or whatever might take someone's fancy. I dunno! :P If not, I'll just be reaching into my pockets and looking for things that aren't biscuit crumbs and old bus tickets! 8D

Aaaalssooo, I've still got the fluuuuu. And some guy is meant to be coming today to fix our bathroom cabinets, but he hasn't turned up. Perhaps he is trapped in them? ;D

Ohman. The Dark Night was absolutely hardcore to the max. Serious business, if I may. It was all awesome, especially Heath. He was amazing. The Joker was entirely creepy as hell, man. Geez. EPIC EPIC EPIC.

In other news, I've got a sore throat and cannot talk. Those of you who know me at ALL will know that this is an almost impossible feat. Therefore, this sore throat is bad. But it means I get lots of tea with lemon and honey, although I'm sick of cough drops and headaches and mucus and not being able to breathe. I think I am getting the flu or something, which I don't often get. The answer?

Anyway, life is otherwise pretty lunar! Gone back to Uni, hooplah. Indeed, everybody should know that it's sparklyglampire's birthday today! She is 19, the old fruitcake! We did the grocery shopping today, and I made a fantastic quip whilst we were in the health-care aisle looking for sanitary napkins, being female we are of course very refined in the matter.


And that is all. 8D I felt it was worth sharing. Aaahhh female-related jokes. We had a good laugh in the store, especially seeing as I yelled it pretty loud. I then proceeded to dance a lot to 'That Don't Impress Me Much' which was on their radio; a woman staring at me dancing (and trying to look like she wasn't! I noticed her!) dropped her bottle of laundry-detergent and it exploded everywhere. TELOKA'S DANCING CAUSES AISLE-5 ACCIDENTS.

I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AFTER WATCHING THE MELBOURNE COMEDY GALA LAST NIGHT. I HAD A HEADACHE AND COULDN'T REMEMBER GOING TO SLEEP AND I WAS SURE THERE WAS SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT I HAD FORGOTTEN!! HOWEVER WHEN I OPENED MY NOTEBOOK I FOUND THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE- HASTILY SCRAWLED IN LARGE ORANGE TEXTA IN MY OWN UNDER-PAR HANDWRITING.

Haha! And welcome to me! Finally got myself a livejournal- mostly because I want to keep up with friends and communities, and I'd like somewhere to fangirl with icons and fics and videos and general geekery!
